CPP Maximum annual pensionable earnings is $68,500 and the rate is 5.95%
New for 2024: Canada Revenue Agency introduced an additional CPP contribution called CPP2. For annual pensionable earnings from over the maximum of $68,500 to $73,200 the rate is 4%.

Do I have to pay Statutory Pay if the employee was on vacation the week before?
Excerpt from the Employee Standards Act. "to work all of his or her last regularly scheduled day of work before the public holiday or all of his or her first regularly scheduled day of work after the public holiday." If the employee is on vacation prior to the statutory holiday, you would go back to the "last regularly scheduled day of work prior to the holiday."
